Administration

We employ a team of 3 administration staff who are responsible for clinical correspondence and ensuring the smooth day to dayΒ administration and clerical aspects of the practice.

Reception

Our ReceptionΒ staff are your first point of contact when visiting the surgery or contacting us by telephone. They have been trained to ask particular questions to assist in determining who it is you need to see so please be prepared to provide the information requested.

Nurses

S Wickerson  (Lead) and H Craston are the Practice Nurses in attendance at various times, who can provide for a range of services, including ear syringes, injections, smears (including holiday vaccinations) and general health advice. In addition, the Practice Nurses are responsible for managing many chronic disease clinics, such as Asthma, Diabetes and Hypertension.

Healthcare Assistants

We have experienced health care assistants who are available for blood pressure checks, phlebotomy, smoking cessation advice, NHS Health checks and some diagnostic tests. 

Healthcare Professionals

Pharmacist Our in-house pharmacists can give advice about prescriptions, drug dosages, risks and how to use and store medication.Β 

-First Contact Physiotherapist Our FCP can assist with musculoskeletal issues such as back, neck and joint pain by:Β assessing and diagnosing issues.Β giving expert advice on how best to manage their conditions.

-Social Prescriber We offer appointments with our Social prescriber who canΒ connect people with local community activities and services that can help improve their health and wellbeing.Β 

Advanced Nurse Practitioners Our Advanced Nurse Practitioners canΒ assess the history of a patients and interpret the results of different investigations in order to make a diagnosis, and plan and deliver care. They are often able to substitute for GPs, which can help to alleviate pressures within primary care teams.Β 

Community Midwives The Midwives and GPs in conjunction with the hospital maternity services offer a full antenatal service. Please note that the midwives who hold clinics at the surgery are not directly employed by Beaumont Lodge Medical Practice.Β 

Community Nurses

The Community Nursing Team specialise in taking care of housebound patients. They receive referrals from local hospitals and Doctors. The team are not employed by Greengate Medical Centre.

Health Visitors

A Health Visitor is a qualified nurse who has taken further training to obtain the Health Visitor Qualification. They are notified of all births and offer help and advice to parents.
